The Bakergroup team worked collaboratively with Northern Arizona University (NAU), Sodexo and the design team to bring campus dining services to the next level. This past fall, NAU opened its doors to DuB Dining District, an all-you-care-to-eat facility, designed to resemble the popular food hall concept found in major cities across the nation. The existing du Bois Student Union underwent a complete renovation to transform the facility into a modern and exciting social space and dining destination for NAU students, faculty and staff.
DuB features seven micro-restaurants™ which includes: Simple Servings, a food allergy and gluten-friendly venue; Al Dente, an Italian concept with stone hearth pizza and house-made pastas; Smokehouse & Grill; International Tapas, small portions of unique foods from around the world; and, a front-and-center strategically placed vegetarian concept, Plant Forward, to promote plant-based, better-for-you dining habits.
