One of Bakergroup’s restoration projects, Swan Street Diner, recently opened its doors to the Larkinville community in Buffalo, New York. This quaint 1937 Sterling Company diner car was restored to its original look featuring mahogany trim, maroon upholstered counter stools and booths, and porcelain enamel ceilings. This barrel-vaulted shaped, small diner is quickly becoming a favorite in the surrounding neighborhoods serving delicious diner-style breakfast and lunch six days each week. Bakergroup assisted with replacing the foodservice equipment, the layout of the diner, and contributed ideas for capturing the 1930’s character of the space.
